Looking for a clothing manufacturer can be challenging at the best of times, especially when you are just starting out. We understand this and want to help.

• Pre-production studios. This type of studio will most likely specialise in making patterns and samples. They may do small production runs also. If they do, they will most likely be very small.

• Sampling studios. These are similar to pre-production studios where they may make patterns for you, but they usually specialise in making samples and production runs and not pattern/garment development.

• Factories. Probably the most recognisable clothing manufacturer. They can be small or large and will specialise in larger production runs with higher minimum qty orders.

So from above we can see that there are different types of manufacturers to suit different needs. It is also worth noting that there are also different manufacturers that may specialise in different areas/aspects of clothing. For example a Ready-To-Wear manufacturer will most likely be unable to do lingerie and vice versa.

So How Do You Find A Clothing Manufacturer?
